A Historic Achievement for the Serbian Superstar

Djokovic Matches Federer and Nadal's Record for Wimbledon Victories

On Monday, three-time defending Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic opened Centre Court with a hard-fought victory over Cristian Garín of Chile, 6-3 3-6 6-0 6-4. The win marked Djokovic's 20th consecutive victory at Wimbledon, extending his unbeaten streak at the tournament to 28 matches. It also moved him one step closer to matching the all-time record of six Wimbledon titles held by Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

In the championship match, Djokovic faced off against Matteo Berrettini of Italy. Berrettini had been in impressive form throughout the tournament, and he gave Djokovic a run for his money. However, Djokovic proved to be too strong, and he ultimately won the match 6-7(4) 6-4 6-4 6-3.

With the victory, Djokovic has now won six Wimbledon titles, equaling Federer and Nadal's record. He is also the first player to win three consecutive Wimbledon titles since Federer in 2003-2005. Djokovic's latest triumph further solidifies his status as one of the greatest tennis players of all time.
